The Yeshua Boxing Club will be hosting a USA Boxing/LBC-sanctioned event on Saturday, April 28, starting at 6 p.m. Boxers of all ages, from the Big Island as well as outer islands, will be competing. This event will be held at the Sure Foundation-Puna gym located on the corner of Pohaku Circle and Pahoa Highway, in Keaau (halfway between Kaloli and Paradise Avenues).

Yeshua–hosted boxing events have attracted 500-700 in attendance, in a safe, family environment and is dedicated to building character, teaching respect and developing champions in a drug-free environment, a spokesperson said.

The general public is invited to the event; tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for ages 11-17 and ages 10 and under are free. Families are welcome and food concessions will be provided. All proceeds go directly to the Yeshua Outreach Center, benefiting the youth of the Puna community. The Yeshua Center is operated by Sure Foundation Inc., a nonprofit corporation.
