The public is invited to two days of Bible lectures Saturday and Sunday, May 5-6, at the Edith Kanaka’ole Multipurpose Stadium. The theme of the two-day event is “Let God’s Name Be Sanctified” and is taken from Jesus’ words in teaching his disciples the model prayer in Matthew 6:9.

The keynote speaker will be Bill Driver, the district overseer of Hawaii, with other speakers from the Hilo area. The assembly opens at 8 a.m. each day and the first part of the program starting at 9:40 a.m. Saturday’s session concludes at 3:55 p.m. and Sunday’s session concludes at 3:30 p.m.

Some of the highlights will be a talk at 10 a.m. Saturday by Driver on “Your Privilege To Be A People For God’s Name.” It will be followed by an 11:25 a.m. dedication and baptism talk. At 1:45 p.m., there will be a symposium on “Beware Of Bringing Reproach On Jehovah’s Name.”

Some of the subjects of that symposium will be “social networking,” “pornography,” “harmful gossip” and “bad associations.”

Sunday’s highlights will include a talk by Driver on “Daily Thinking Upon God’s Name.” There will be another symposium, “Sanctify God’s Name by Your Thought, Your Speech, Your Decisions and Your Conduct.”

At 1:50 p.m. on Sunday, Driver will present an address on “Jehovah Will Sanctify His Great Name at Armageddon.” The assembly will conclude with his last talk, “You Will Certainly Know Jehovah.”
