Eleanor “Ele” Marote, 85, of Hilo died April 17 in Hilo. Born in Hilo, she was a telephone operator for Hawaiian Telephone Co. Services held. Survived by sons, Russell “Rusty” Marote, Chad (Tracie) Marote and Kelly Marote of Hilo, Bradford Marote of Gresham, Ore.; daughter, Rochelle Harris of Gresham, Ore.; sister-in-law, Roberta Costales of Hilo; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Tad Tadato Nagasako, 77, of Hilo died April 13 at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Hilo, he was a retired county deputy planning director and council legislative aide, and member of Kinoole Baptist Church and Ainako Association. Visitation 3-4 p.m. Tuesday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 4 p.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by wife, Janet Nagasako of Hilo; daughter, Lori (Zalen) Arakaki of Mililani, Oahu; sisters, Tamie Onouye of Pearl City, Oahu, Ruth Frost of Illinois and Debbie (Toshio) Shimabuku of Keaau; sister-in-law, Dorothy Nagasako of Hilo; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
