Punalu’u Bakeshop and Ka’u School of the Arts will present their annual Spring Fling this Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.

“This arts and crafts fair will provide dozens of local artists a beautiful garden setting in which to display and sell their works, as well as offer opportunities for the public to participate in sponsored art activities for all ages. There will be a full lineup of local musicians throughout the day as well,” said spokesman Robert Domingos.

The 20-member Ka’u ‘Ohana Band will kick off the morning with marches and big band sounds, followed by a special production by the Ka’u Community Chorus Singing Beatles. The rest of the day stretches between slack-key and classical Indian raga, all performed by local musicians.

“The public is encouraged to come out this Saturday in downtown Naalehu at the Punalu’u Bakeshop Pavilion,” said Domingos. “Come see the artistic side of Ka’u. Visit www.kauarts.org.
