Ka Huaka‘i a Pele: The Journey of Pele was the theme for this year’s May Day program at Hawaii Preparatory Academy on May 4.
The event, held at the school’s Gates Performing Arts Center, featured hula and songs by Lower School students.
The program was dedicated to the journey of Hokule‘a, as the traditional Hawaiian sailing vessel begins its worldwide voyage to chart a new course for a healthy and sustainable Earth.
