Mazie Kaaumoana Nelson Roberts, 95, of Pahoa died Wednesday at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Salt Lake City, she was a retired professional entertainer and homemaker and was a member Pahoa Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service from 8-10 a.m. Friday at Pahoa Ward of the Church in Orchidland. Burial will follow at Alae Cemetery in Hilo. Casual attire. Survived by sons, Bill (Wilma) Lani of Pearl City, Oahu, and Kawai Roberts of Yorba Linda, Calif.; daughters, Beverly (William) Aye of Yorba Linda, Calif., Patricia Tamanaha of Kailua-Kona and Laurie (Kevin) Antony of Pahoa; daughter-in-law, Bernie Roberts of Hilo; 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. David Lee Lagat, 58, of Germany and Papaikou died Sunday in Germany. Born in Hilo, he was an U.S. Air Force veteran and member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou. Visitations will be held from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel and again from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Wake service 7 p.m. Wednesday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Mass at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Aloha attire and flowers welcome. Burial at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2.
