WAIPAHU, Oahu (AP) — Relatives of Loida Gabon Wideman, a mother of three children missing since Mother’s Day, spent their Saturday posting fliers as they continue to hope for her safe return.
Wideman, 39, hasn’t been seen or heard from since she left her home for work about 9:30 p.m. May 13.
She works as a certified nurse’s assistant at the Ka Punawai nursing home, but never showed up at the facility, officials said.
She was reported missing by her mother, who lives with her, around 6:30 a.m. May 14. Wideman is the mother of three boys, ages 5, 7, and 11.
Her brother, Junior Gabon, said family members posted fliers in Kapolei businesses Saturday asking for help in finding his sister.
The family planned to post fliers in Waipahu and Pearl City on Sunday.
Police on Wednesday found her gold 2003 Saturn Ion parked on a Pearl City street less than two miles from her home. The vehicle appeared to be in good condition.
Her ex-husband, Lonnell Reginald Wideman, was arrested Friday for violating terms of his parole, but he is not a suspect in her disappearance, police said.
