The League of Women Voters of Hawaii County invites the public to a candidate forum at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at Aunty Sally Kaleohano’s Luau Hale at 799 Piilani St. in Hilo. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

“While plans could change, depending on the number of candidates filing, the forum as currently planned would feature candidates for the office of prosecuting attorney and for County Council districts 1 and 2 and possibly district 3,” said LWV spokeswoman Helen Hemmes.

Candidate profiles and election information will be available on the league’s websites,

www.Vote411.org and www.lwv-hawaii.com.

Membership in the LWV is open to all citizens of voting age; non-citizens and citizens not yet of voting age can be associate members. Annual dues for members are $45; dues for students and a second member in a household are $22.50. Dues may be mailed to the League of Women Voters of Hawaii County, P.O. Box 665, Hilo, HI 96721.
