The all-volunteer animal welfare group Hui Pono Holoholona will offer its next low-cost sterilization clinic for cats on Friday, June 1, at the Keaau Eagles Building.

“There are not enough homes for all the puppies and kittens being born, and the humane way to reduce animal overpopulation is to spay/neuter dogs and cats. Do not wait,” said Hui Pono founder Frannie Pueo. The upcoming clinic will have room for 40 cats.

Register in advance by emailing webmistress@hphhawaii.org or calling 968-8279.

The cost will be $25 for feral cats and $45 for pets. Financial assistance is available. Cats need to be brought to the clinic in pet carriers or live humane traps.

Volunteers are welcome. Another way to help is by donating large, clean, used T-shirts and towels for the clinic. Call for more information.
