Hawaii Energy will present its popular five-day CEM Training Program for Energy Managers Monday through Friday, June 4-8, in Kailua-Kona.
The conservation and efficiency program will host the visit by members of the Association of Energy Engineers to present the program held in February in Honolulu. Hawaii Energy is providing grants to the first 40 registrants, subject to funding and approval, to cover the majority of the $2,195 cost. Each qualified grant recipient will contribute $300.
Included in the course is the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Exam Guide to Energy Management textbook course workbook.
Since its inception in 1981, the CEM credential has been used as a measure of professional accomplishment within the energy management field. It has gained industry-wide use as the standard for qualifying energy professionals both in the United States and abroad, and is recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy, the Office of Federal Energy Management Programs, and the U.S. Agency for International Development, as well as by numerous state energy offices, major utilities, corporations and energy service companies.
