The Honokaa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple honored its graduating seniors at the temple’s 58th Annual Baccalaureate Service on May 12.
This year’s honorees are Honokaa High School grads Aaron Kaleo Ortiz, Emily Ann Ono and Tymaya Blue Scott. Temple President Miles Okumura coordinated the ceremony.
The featured speaker, alumnus Romel DelaCruz, urged the graduates to be prepared to experience failures on their paths to success, to learn from these experiences and to persevere.
