NAALEHU (AP) — The body of a missing Ka‘u fisherman has been found.
The Coast Guard and the Fire Department began searching for 30-year-old Caesare Moses Saturday afternoon. The Coast Guard said Moses was retrieving his nets near South Point when he was swept out to sea.
Lt. Leigh Cotterell said the Coast Guard received word Monday from the Fire Department that Moses’ body was found off South Point early Monday.
The aerial and ocean search covered more than 1,500 square miles.
