Penney-Rohner’s paintings are a reflection of her love of color and light. Her work is found in public and private collections throughout the U.S. and Asia. She started her career in Hilo, working in pastels, and now paints in oils and watercolors as well. Her artwork has won numerous awards, locally and nationwide, including shows in New York City, St. Louis and New Orleans. The State Foundation on Culture and the Arts purchased her art for their permanent collection.

“With my pastels and oils, I always strive to create a sense of mood, using light, composition and a layering of color to not just render an image, but create an atmosphere,” said Penney-Rohner. For more information, contact her at 938-2684 or by email at artbyvicki.com.
