Roy Yoneo Ishihara, 89, of Kona died June 4 at his home in Captain Cook. Born in Oceanside, Calif., he was pastor of several churches throughout Hawaii and California, including Central Kona Union Church (1976-1987) and Kailua Christian Church in Oahu (1957-1965). After retirement he was an avid coffee farmer and continued his ministry by serving as interim pastor at Lanakila Congregational Church, Kahikolu Church, and Haili Congregational Church. Beverly Elaine Shebeck, 81, of Waimea died May 31 at North Hawaii Community Hospital.
