Beth “Granma” Ellen Bath, 84, of Kurtistown died May 29 at Hilo Medical Center. Bornin Graham County, Kan., she was retired from the clothing manufacturing industry. No flowers. Visitation 9-10 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Orchidland Chapel. Survived by sons, Roy (Stephanie) Bath and Philip (Rebecca) Bath of Kurtistown; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Robert Frank Marquess, 88, of Kukuihaele died June 2 at home. Born in Oregon, he was a retired mechanical and electrical engineer. Services in Oregon at a later date. Survived by daughter, Gayle (Clifford Small) Marquess of Kukuihaele; son, Ken (Debbie) Merle Marquess of Oregon; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Opal L. Moniz, 86, of Kaneohe, Oahu, formerly of the Big Island, died June 1 in Kaneohe. Born in Mississippi, she was a retired elementary school teacher. No services. Body donated to University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. Survived by son, Thomas Liphard; daughter, Kathleen G. Enos; three grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Eric Riveira Sr., 57, of Asheville, N.C. died June 4 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a U.S. Army veteran. Memorial service 11 a.m. today at 34 Windy Hill Road, Asheville, N.C.
