Antone “Tony” Cordeiro Caravalho, Sr., 89, of Keauhou Mauka, died June 6 at home. Born in Hawi, he was a retired macadamia nut and coffee farmer and was the owner of Phillip’s 66 in Kainaliu and Kainaliu Used Cars. He worked for the former Kohala Sugar Company as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver and was a member of the Catholic Church and Kohala Puerto Rican Club. Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. June 14 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Kawanui, Kona, for a 10:30 a.m. mass with burial to follow in the church’s cemetery. Casual attire and flowers welcome.
