Emaile Randolf Carvalho, 57, of Kailua-Kona died May 25 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Honolulu, he was an auto mechanic, member of Kona Church of God and former member of Solid Rock Ministries and Koa Puna Motorcycle Club. Service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at Kona Church of God. For information call 238-0939. Peter Henry Gort, 73, of Keauhou died May 4 at Life Care Center of Kona. Born in Flushing, Queens, N.Y. , he was a police officer, chiropractor, retired business owner, and Air Force veteran. Services held. Inurnment at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Survived by daughter, Taryn Gort of Overland Park, Kan.; sons, Benjamin Gort of Chanute, Kan., and Justin Gort of Chesterfield, Va.; two granddaughters. Ronny Tong Sok Lee, 52, of Waimea died May 20 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Honolulu, he was a home caretaker, former realtor for Century 21 and former restaurant manager for Jack in the Box, Jolly Roger’s and Wendy’s. Alfred “Jack” McPherson, 84, of Kailua-Kona, died May 29 at Life Care Center of Kona. Born in Davis, Okla., he was a retired business owner, building contractor, cabinetmaker and Navy veteran. He also built and restored hot rods classic cars. Private services. Survived by wife, Gloriette McPherson of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Jenine (Darnell) Paul of Kailua-Kona; son, Joe (Cathy) McPherson of Twain Harte, Calif.; brothers, Wayne McPherson of Salinas, Calif., and Gene McPherson of Los Angeles; sister, JoEllen Morrisy of Reno, Nev.; three grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Ah Vin Jacob “Jake” Zane, 80, of Kapaau, formerly of Honolulu, died May 24 at home. Born in Niulii, North Kohala, he was a retired heavy equipment operator, member and retiree of the Operating Engineers Union Local No. 3 and member of Kohala Lions Club, North Kohala National Alumni (Veterans), Kohala Senior Athletic Club, Kohala Senior Citizen Program, Tong Wo Society of Kohala, Al Lyman Invitational bowling club and Sacred Hearts Church Choir in Hawi. He was also Hawaii County Office of Aging’s Outstanding Older American for 2009. Visitation 8 a.m.-9:45 a.m. Saturday, June 16 at Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at church cemetery. Casual attire. Survived by sons, James (Ipo) Zane of Hauula, Oahu, and Baltazar (Geni) Garces of Honolulu; daughters, Mary (Lance) Farrar of Milford, Maine, Cindy Teruya of of Maui, Bernadette (Dwight) Kaai and Belinda Ramos of Honolulu; sister, Annie Lee Marcello of Kona; brother, Douglas Lee of New York City; 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters- and brothers-in-law.
