Pono Tokioka’s scorecard was bogey-free as he defeated Henry Park 4 and 3 to advance to the round of 32 at the Manoa Cup in Honolulu.

The golfers split the first two holes in match play at Oahu Country Club, but Park, a 2009 Kealakehe graduate and a former three-time Big Island Interscholastic Federation runner-up, fell behind for good when he bogeyed the third hole.

Tokioka, who finished in a tie for sixth at the Hawaii High School Athletic Association tournament in May for Kauai High, reeled off three birdies and an eagle over the next six holes and led 5-up at the turn.
