Then an upcoming Hilo film series on mystery and suspense might be for you.

Sponsored by the county Department of Parks and Recreation, the series of 10 films begins June 22. The Friday afternoon series opens with Gosford Park, a mystery set at an English manor house featuring an ensemble cast including Helen Mirren and Maggie Smith.

The series ends on Aug. 24 with Wait Until Dark, starring Audrey Hepburn. All films will be shown at the Institute for Astronomy, 640 N. Auhoku Place (turn left from Nowelo) on from 1 to 4 p.m. The series cost is $10.
