The Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce (KKCC) invites the community to celebrate the installation of its new officers and directors for 2012-2013 on Friday, June 29, at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai.

Political reporter and retired professor Dan Boylan will serve as guest speaker at the 11:30 a.m. luncheon. Boylan writes a political column for Oahu’s MidWeek and moderates PBS Hawaii’s Insights program. He recently retired from teaching history at the University of Hawaii-West Oahu campus.

The annual event also shares what the chamber has accomplished during the past fiscal year and what it is eyeing for the future. Find out the winners of KKCC’s Pualu Awards, which honor outstanding individuals, businesses and nonprofits for dedication and hard work in the West Hawaii community.

In addition, attendees can learn about new and existing KKCC businesses at the chamber’s annual Business Expo, which precedes and follows the banquet. Times are 10:30-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-2:30 p.m.

“Serving as an educational resource for commerce and the community, our Business Expo is an excellent venue to meet the people behind our local chamber businesses,” said KKCC President/CEO Vivian Landrum.

Admission for the banquet is $50 for KKCC members and $60 for non-members. Tables of eight can be reserved. Reservations are required by Monday, June 25, with no refunds afterward. Secure your seat online at www.kona-kohala.com or phone 329-1758.

The mission of the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce is to provide leadership and advocacy for a successful business environment in West Hawaii.

“The result of KKCC’s work is a community of choice, as reflected in our quality of life, business and individual opportunity and manifest respect for our culture and our natural resources,” said Landrum.
