At a recent candlelight ceremony, 15 Waiakea High School student leaders were installed into their respective class and student government offices. Outgoing Student Government Association President Lauren Hill presided over the evening’s program with other outgoing SGA officers Katie Torigoe, Liann Yamashita and Mark Seu.
The 2012-2013 officers are: SGA President Kellie Iwasaki, Vice President Kialoa Mossman, Secretary Keagan Sakai-Kawada, and Treasurer Kieran Tomas-Miyashiro. The Class of 2013 is led by President Jamie Economy, Vice President Tristan Maesaka, Secretary Shiho Aoki, Treasurer Keani Shirai and head advisor Toni Sakai-Kawada.
The class of 2014 officers, under the guidance of head advisor Judy Kruse, are President Vanessa Ignacio, Vice President Adam Hill, Secretary Lyka Raza and Treasurer Andi Igawa. The officers for the class of 2015 Tigers are President Dayton Towata, Vice President Mary Economy, Secretary Marissa Hayashi, Treasurer Katelyn Haruki and first-year head advisor Clemente Julian. The incoming freshmen will elect their officers at a later date.
