The Hilo All-Stars defeated Kona 19-9 to capture the District III Little League majors championship on Sunday at Honokaa.
Hilo will now represent District III in the state majors tournament, scheduled July 21-28 on Maui.
Members of the champion Hilo All-Stars include Eric Riveira, Aidan Ah Hee, Zachary Riveira, Nathan Minami, Justyce Ishii, Cullen Cariaga, Lander Mizuba, Macyn Kanaeholo, Luke Urada, Bryce Furuli, Ayson Mar, and Zachary Kamiyama.
Clayton Ah Hee is the team manager with coaches Kelly Minami and Aaron Kanaeholo, and assistant Les Mizuba.
