Puna Covenant Church on Old Volcano Highway in Keaau invites the public to its 60th Annual Community Bazaar from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 21.

Puna Covenant Church on Old Volcano Highway in Keaau invites the public to its 60th Annual Community Bazaar from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 21.

“Our church, celebrating its 100th anniversary, is again bringing our Annual Community Bazaar to Keaau,” said John Hu, bazaar chairman.

“The rummage sale is our most popular event,” said Lyle Morris. “We’ll have tons of clothing, small household appliances and kitchenware, books, plants and lots more.”

“If you’re hungry,” Hu added, “there will be plenty of food concessions, including specialty Filipino food, German potato pancakes and other goodies freshly made from the kitchen.”

For the keiki, don’t miss the room of toys for sale and the free face painting. The book sale will have hard backs, paperbacks and some videos. Various nonprofit community booths will also be on hand to pass out information.

“Puna Covenant Church is proud of our 60-year-old tradition of bringing quality slightly used goods to the surrounding community,” said Hu. “The bargains are a blessing to families, and the profits from the bazaar go to help support outreach in the local community along with support for several missionary families around the world.”

The public is invited and there is no admission charge to attend. For more information, call the church at 966-9622.
