Women of the Big Island are invited to enjoy a centuries-old British tradition during the Kona Women’s Connection “High Tea & Heavenly Places” quarterly gathering. Scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at a home in mauka Kona.
“Ladies will follow in the dainty footsteps of Anna, the Duchess of Bedford (1788-1861), who is credited as the creator of teatime,” said spokeswoman Jen McGeehan of Paauilo. In addition, McGeehan, a fine jewelry marketing consultant for three decades, will discuss “A Diamond In The Rough.”
McGeehan recently moved from Southern California to the Hamakua Coast with her husband, Pat, her 29-year old palomino appaloosa and pet nubian goat.
