The Moku O Keawe Regional USA High Performance Girls Volleyball Team was selected back in March and will now travel to Des Moines, Iowa on July 21 to participate in the USA High Performance Championships. These players will be competing against other select teams from across the United States.

The Moku O Keawe Regional USA High Performance Girls Volleyball Team was selected back in March and will now travel to Des Moines, Iowa on July 21 to participate in the USA High Performance Championships. These players will be competing against other select teams from across the United States.

Coaches Tino Reyes, the UH-Hilo women’s coach, and Chris Leonard have been preparing the players to compete at a higher level as well as improving on their skills and knowledge of the sport. Players on this Moku O Keawe region team represent Hilo, Ka’u and Kona, according to Region spokesperson Angie Andrade-Morioka.

Players on the squad include Maxine Block, Toni Beck, Kamalu Makekau-Whittaker, Amanda Loeffler, Pua Wong, Jeyci Kaili, Zoe Leonard, Taylor Alicuben, Kaela Avanilla, Harley Woolsey, Kai’u Ahuna and Evalani Toledo. Reyes is assisted by Leonard and Kawaileleohi’ilawe.
