Hundreds of admirers have been stopping by the Wailoa Arts & Cultural Center to view this month’s Jane and Linus Chao and Friends Exhibit, which closes July 26.

The July 6 opening reception drew more than 250 fans of art, and the featured artists, and an entertaining calligraphy demonstration by Linus Chao.

The other artist “Friends” are Grace Chao, Christyl Bilyeu, Aimee Takamoto, Annette Sumada, Marge Kanemitsu, Rose Togashi, Jane Uyeno, Jeff Hatfield, Clytie Mead, Dot Yanagisawa, Judy Haraguchi, Janet Matsuo, Harry Char, Tadayuki Kiso, Monique Pourny, Karen Schuster and Marian Kuruhara.Watercolor and watercolor paintings on silk are featured.

Admission is free and the center is open to the public Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Wednesday from noon to 4:30 p.m. The center is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and state holidays.
