Waiakea senior Ciera Min shot a 1-over 73 as Hawaii increased its lead Wednesday at the Girls Junior America’s Cup in Kihei, Maui.

Honolulu’s Eimi Koga (70) was tied for first at 4 under, while Honolulu’s Mariel Galdiano (74) and Rose Huang (71) also were in the top 10 for Hawaii, which was 2 under for the second straight day at Wailea Golf Club and led second-place Southern California by 10 shots heading into today’s final round.

Min, who contributed to Hawaii’s total by posting a top-three score for the second straight day, was tied for 11th at 3 over.

— Hawaii Prep senior Andrew Paisley shot a 5-over 75 on Wednesday and was tied for 33rd at 8-over after two rounds as Hawaii fell into a tie for eighth at the Junior America’s Cup in Eagle, Idaho.

Northern California (4 under) took a three-shot lead to the final round, and Hawaii’s foursome, which also included Oahu golfers Skye Inakoshi (68), Eric Le (76) and PJ Samiere (78), was at 14 over.

— Hilo’s Lance Taketa and Kevin Hayashi won two matches at the Aloha Section PGA Nike Four-Ball Match Play before losing 3 and 2 in the semifinals Wednesday against Larry Stubblefield and Andrew Feldmann at Oahu Country Club.
