Sarah M. Sogi, 88, of Kailua-Kona died Aug. 14 at home. Born in Kealakekua, she was an ikebana instructor, sculptor, member of the national board and World Service Council of the YWCA, and an activist in her community in White Plains, N.Y. where she lived for over 50 years.
