Born in Honolulu, he worked for by the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows, KTA Super Stores, Com Systems, California Hotel and Casino, and the Clark County tax office and was a member of the Las Vegas Lions Club, Waimea Hawaiian Civic Club and numerous Hawaiian civic clubs on the mainland.
