Parker School hosted an all-alumni reunion Aug. 4, with graduates from 1984-2012 and their families in attendance.

One of the day’s highlights was when members of the class of 2002 opened their time capsule in celebration of their 10th-year reunion. The capsule was filled with mementos of their time at Parker and included items such as a baseball cap, a box of rice candy, student drawings, graduates’ notes to themselves, as well as papers from their English teacher, Kiyoshi Najita, who is now in his 18th year at Parker.

The graduates were joined by faculty, staff, administration and past teachers to celebrate the occasion.

“Special thanks to class agents Jessica Lancaster and Bryce Bergen from the class of 2002, who coordinated the reunion in conjunction with the Parker School Alumni Office,” said Parker spokeswoman Jennifer Schack. “Many of the earlier graduates were amazed to see how the campus has transformed and expanded from a middle and upper school to include grades K-5.”

Parker School is extending its outreach to the school alumni, and encourages graduates to contact the alumni office to reconnect, visit the campus, and find out what their classmates and teachers are up to. For more information, call 885-8309 or visit parkerschool.net.
