The Big Island Road Runners will be hosting its annual Hilo Bay 5K and 10K races on Sept. 9. Both races start at 7:30 a.m. Both races cost $20 for Big Island Road Runners members and $25 for non-members.
The Big Island Road Runners will be hosting its annual Hilo Bay 5K and 10K races on Sept. 9. Both races start at 7:30 a.m. Both races cost $20 for Big Island Road Runners members and $25 for non-members.
The events are open to the public and the 5K is a walk friendly event. The races start and end at the parking lot of Moku Ola or Coconut Island. Race applications can be found at Spencers Fitness and The Bike Hub. They can also be dowloaded from the club’s webiste www.bigislandroadrunners.org
While pre-registration is encouraged, there will be race day registration as well. All participants will be given a dry-tech T-shirt and there will be first-, second- and third-place awards in both men’s and women’s overall and masters divisions. There will also be lucky number prizes.
