Kilauea Drama & Entertainment Network is preparing for its annual fundraiser, “KDEN vs Reality,” on Sept. 22 at the Hilo Woman’s Club. The fun event will feature a silent auction, a live auction, and lots of entertainment.

Opening the evening on stage will be Zenith, featuring the talents of Esther Zamora, Loren Antolik and Gonzo Grogg, followed by talented performers who have appeared in KDEN’s production of “Cinderella” this past summer led by Pedro Ka‘awaloa.

Big Island Weekly Editor and local performer Yisa Var will be the evening’s hostess. Local actor/director Clay Callaway will act as auctioneer for the live auction.

The auctions will feature artwork, jewelry, a Body Glove Cruise, dinner at the Kilauea Lodge, services, Brad Lewis photography and much more.

When the doors open at 6 p.m., the silent auction begins. Tickets are $35 for singles and $50 for couples, available at the door. They include bid paddle, heavy pupus and drinks, including a wine-tasting.

Donations are still being accepted. For more information, to donate or to make reservations, please call 982-7344.

“Everyone is invited to join us for an evening of food and fun, and help support your local community theater,” said KDEN Executive Director Suzi Bond.
