Buck Michio Hamano, 83, of Hilo died Sept. 6 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired clerk for Global Associates on Kwajalein. Services held. Survived by brother, Masaaki (Eloise) Hamano of Oahu; sister, Kiyoko (Shinji) Fujishige of Oahu; sisters-in-law, Momoyo Peggy Hamano and Kimiko Hamano of Hilo; nieces and nephews. Wayne K. Jose, 58, of Hilo died Aug. 31 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired program coordinator for Hawaii Community Economic Opportunity Council and worked for the Naniloa Hotel, a guava farm and Life Care Center of Hilo. Visitation 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hilo. Service at 11 a.m. Casual attire; no photography in the chapel and of the deceased. Survived by brothers, Bernard “Kanak” (Estelle) Jose Jr. of Wailea and Burt Jose of Honolulu; sisters, Carnation “Lei” (Rodney) Castillo of Honolulu, Shirley (Kealoha) Medeiros of Kona and Betty (Randall) Jose-Brannam of Hilo; one aunt and one uncle; six nephews and 11 nieces; 46 grandnephews and nieces; cousins. Masaaki Nakamura, 93, of Hilo died Sept. 7 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center in Hilo. Born in Olaa, he was a retired Hawaii Electric Light Co. millwright and member of Piihonua Community Association, AJA Bowling Club, Fukuoka Kenjin Kai and various golf clubs. Visitation 3:30-5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 5 p.m. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Sumayo “Sue” Nakamura of Hilo; daughter, Lynne M.
