Antone Tony Vega, 82, of Kapaau died Sept. 12 at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Hamakua, he was a heavy equipment operator for the former Kohala Sugar Co., retired as a county grounds maintenance worker and was a grounds maintenance worker for Kalahikiola Congregational Church. He was a member of the Kalahikiola Congregational Church and Kohala Puerto Rican Social Club. Visitation noon-2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30 at Kalahikiola Congregational Church. Service at 3 p.m. Burial to follow at Wainaia Cemetery. Casual attire.
