Marciana “Marci” Magdalina Bolos, 74, of Keaau, died Sept. 19 at her home. Born in Hawi, she was a retail clerk and a babysitter. She also was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo. Friends may call Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 9-10:30 a.m. visitation and 10:30 a.m. Mass. Casual attire; burial at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Survived by husband, Benjamin Bolos of Keaau; daughters, Brenda (Chad) Leorin of Oahu, Renee Stolte of Ohio and Tricia (John) Bejcek of Ohio; sons, Benton (Carrie) Bolos of Hilo, Dayne (Tracy) Bolos of Hilo and Robin (Laurie) Bolos of Maui; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Felisa (Ige) Mostoles, Loretta (Bully) Dante and Anita (Alvin) Maeda, each of Hilo; brothers, Ben (Terry) Castillo of Hilo and Carlos Castillo of Oahu; brother-in-law, John Fuellas of Kailua-Kona; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Kazuye Kay Ozaki, 101, of Kailua-Kona died Friday at her home. Born in Azuza, Calif., she was a retired grocer and a member of the Tri-State/Buddhist Temple in Denver. Private services will be held at the Kona Hongwanji Mission. Survived by daughters, Florence Ozaki of Kailua-Kona and May (Gene) Peregrine of Roseville, Calif.; sister, Tazuko Jean Miyamoto of Denver; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces, and nephews. Joel “Joe” Patrick Nicassio, 65, of Kealakekua, died Sept. 8 at his home. Born in Los Angeles, he was a long-time Kona resident, active in the building industry and owner of BioMatrix LLC and Advanced Concepts Home Inspections. A private service was held. Survived by mother, Dorothy Nicassio of Sequim, Wash.; sister, Vicki Nicassio of Utah; and nieces, Anna Nicassio and Christina Nicassio, both of Las Vegas. Kihei Hatsue Tengan, 52, of Hilo died Sept. 12 at Hilo Medical Center. Born on Molokai. Friends may call 4–5 p.m. Monday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel; memorial service at 5 p.m. Aloha attire.
