Mrs. Ligea McCracken Painter, 94, Kailua-Kona died Sept. 28 at a private residence. Born in Afton, Okla., she was a former teacher and an airline stewardess for the former Continental Airlines. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Cousins of the Daughters of Hawaii, life member of the Kona Outdoor Circle and P.E.O. Services will be held at a later date. Jeane “Harpo” Kubera, 75, of Keaau died Sept. 6 at home. Born in Chicago, he was a retired truck driver for Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Company.
