24th annual Trash Art Show opens Friday
The East Hawaii Cultural Center opens its 24th annual Trash Art Show with an opening reception and awards presentation from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday
Besides the show, with entries from more than 70 local artists, there will be a Haute Trash Fashion Show Preview and refreshments donated by many local Hilo businesses and supporters.
The exhibit will be on display at the EHCC at 141 Kalakaua St. in downtown Hilo Oct. 6-31.
Juror Ira Ono — coordinator and founder of the Trash Art Show — says, “This event really is the beginning of the social art season in Hilo.”
