Emily Hartong put home a match-high 16 kills Saturday as the No. 8 University of Hawaii volleyball team finished a quick road trip by overpowering Cal Santa Barbara 25-13, 25-16, 25-21.

In addition to leading the attack, Hartong added 11 digs as the Rainbow Wahine (14-2, 7-0 Big West) made just six errors and hit .315 for the match. Ashley Kastl (nine digs) and Kalei Adolpho both had six kills. For the second consecutive match, UH was playing without Jane Croson, who has been suspended indefinitely by coach Dave Shoji.

Kalei Adolpho posted a match-high seven blocks, and Mita Uiato had 28 assists for UH, which recorded its fourth league sweep and third in its past four matches to win its seventh consecutive contest.

Leah Sully led the Gauchos (9-11, 2-3) with 10 kills and 10 digs.

With the scored tied 12-12 in the second set, Jade Vorster (five kills, four blocks) helped spur an 8-2 run with a pair of kills.

After finishing 2-0 on its trip, Hawaii returns home to host Cal State Northridge at 7 p.m. Friday at Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.
