Certified Hawaii, an Associa company, participated in and supported the Habitat for Humanity Blitz Build Sept. 12-22 at La‘i ‘Opua to help “build a community” for five families in need in West Hawaii.

The Blitz Build set a goal to build five homes in 10 days. The Certified team provided the workers with a $1,000 sponsorship for food, and volunteered onsite to coordinate the hospitality tent, preparing and serving food to volunteers.

“This was an amazing experience that brought together all walks of life from the community for a fantastic cause,” said Certified CEO Jon McKenna. “We were proud to be a part of Habitat for Humanity’s Blitz Build and give back to our community.”

“Certified would like to send a special thanks to account executive Terri Vallis, for serving on the Hospitality Committee with Habitat for Humanity for many months prior to the event, and serving almost daily through the event to ensure that things ran smoothly,” said McKenna. “Certified Hawaii is committed to the people of Hawaii and has supported local organizations and causes, including the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Hawaii Foodbank and Blood Bank of Hawaii.”
