The state Department of Transportation has announced the following roadwork for Monday, Oct. 22, through Friday, Oct. 26, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. daily:
l On Keaau-Pahoa Road (Route 130), single-lane closures in both directions in the vicinity of Ainaloa Boulevard for roadway excavation and paving work.
l On Volcano Highway (Route 11), alternating single-lane closures in both directions between Kukui Camp Road and North Lauko Road for roadside utility installations.
l On Kohala Mountain Road (Highway 250) near Waimea, alternating single-lane closures in both directions between the 2- and 7-mile markers, in the vicinity of Waiaka Junction, for pavement resurfacing.
l On Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) near Mahukona, alternating single-lane closures on in both directions between Koko Iki Road and Ala Kahua Drive, for roadway paving.
l On Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) near Mahukona, alternating single-lane closures in both directions between the 5- and 15-mile markers, for pavement resurfacing.
l On Queen Kaahumanu Highway (Route 19) near Puako, alternating single-lane closures in both directions between Waikoloa Road and Kawaihae Road, for pavement reconstruction.
l On Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190), alternating single-lane closures in both directions between Hina Lani Street/North Kona Belt Road and Old Kona Village Road, for pavement resurfacing.Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All roadwork is weather permitting.
