The following are the results from Saturday night’s E Malama Mau I Ka Hula Festival. The keiki hula event was part of the activities planned in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Merrie Monarch Festival, the largest and most prestigious hula festival in the world. The the 50th annual Merrie Monarch Festival is next spring in Hilo.
Elementary Division:
3rd place: Hula Halau Kala‘akeakauikawekiu (Kenneth Aloha Victor).
2nd place: Halau Na Pua U‘i O Hawaii (Etua Lopes).
1st place: Ka Ua Kani Lehua (Johnny Lum Ho).
Intermediate Division:
3rd place: Na Lei Liko ‘O ‘Ola‘a (Kimo Kekua).
