U.S. Army Garrison Pohakuloa will participate in this year’s Hilo Veterans Day parade on Nov. 10 and would like to honor Big Island veterans by inviting them to ride on the Pohakuloa float.
“We’d like to invite veterans from all services to ride the float but in particular we’re looking for veterans who trained at Pohakuloa before they deployed to combat,” said Army spokesman Bob McElroy. “We’re looking for eight veterans, perhaps a few more if the interest is there.”
