Kawika Laine, 65, of Hilo, died Oct. 12 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Washington, he was a rental agent and a member of the South Hilo Baha’i Community. A graveside service will be held at 9 p.m. Sunday at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire; flowers OK. Survived by sister, Marilyn Lesh of Dublin, Ireland; and brother, Steven Lesh of Seattle. Jacob Miller, 72, of Keaau died Oct. 19 at home. Born in Harlem, N.Y., he was a retired hydrocolon therapist, teacher and lecturer. Celebration of life and potluck 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4 at Uncle Robert’s in Kalapana. Casual attire. Survived by sons, Arthur Miller Jr. of Kauai, Marc (Aida) Miller of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Daniel “Danny” (Dorothy) Miller of Kilauea, Kauai; daughter, Caren (Charles) Miller-Rosenthal of Boca Raton, Fla.; four grandchildren.
