Walter Allan Sturm, 82, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 4 at home. Born in New York City, he was an engineer and computer designer for the federal government, a teacher at UCLA, member of the Kona Bridge Club, former bridge champion, sharpshooter, NRA member and U.S. Navy veteran.
