Kaneyo “Kay” Higashi, 96, of Honaunau died Nov. 5 at home. Born in Waipahu, Oahu, she was a self-employed proprietress of Higashi Store and member of Ho‘okena Kumiai, Kona Fukuoka Kenjin-Kai and Kona Hongwanji Mission.
