Emily Hartong buried 25 kills as the No. 7 Rainbow Wahine outlasted Pacific 25-16, 25-27, 22-25, 25-16, 15-7 on Friday night in Stockton, Calif.
Jane Croson posted 18 kills and 15 digs, and Jade Vorster added 13 kills for a .360 hitting percentage as Hawaii (23-2, 15-0 Big West) ran it’s NCAA-best conference winning streak to 70.
Shoji, in his 38th season, will go for career win No. 1,100 at 5 p.m. today at Cal-Davis.
Anne Sophie Bauer had 15 kills for the Tigers (20-9, 9-8), who gave Hawaii a scare for the second time this season.
Pacific raced out to a 2-0 lead last month in Honolulu before UH rallied to victory. On Friday, the ‘Bows fell behind after the third set, but they took an early 6-2 lead in Game 4 then used a 8-1 run to pull away.
Ali Longo posted a season-high 25 digs and Hartong added 16. The junior star hit .346 as UH enjoyed a .262-.160 advantage in hitting.
