As kupuna age, many feel like prisoners in their own bodies. Some fall into depression and hopelessness.

Originally, Connable wrote “The Legacy of Christmas” for her mother, who was suffering from depression. Over the years, several friends and hospice workers have recommended that the book be published to bring help to others.

Pastor Pauline Spencer of New Hope Hilo says, “The ‘Legacy of Christmas’ is a precious gift wrapped with God’s love. It will touch your heart.”

The little book delivers a powerful message about common issues many can relate to.

“Laurie Connable shares a valuable insight that challenges us to look deeper into our own lives, as well as those of our loved ones. May this book draw suffering souls into His light and love; and He will surely turn their mourning into dancing,” said the pastor.
