The Kiwanis club of East Hawaii will perform a major project for the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation on Saturday, Dec. 1.

A renovated house in Hawaiian Beaches that was repaired by Habitat for Humanity volunteers needs to be painted. After the club paints the house, the project will receive a check of $10,000 from the Weinberg Foundation,.

The money will be given to the PATCH (People Attentive to Children) nonprofit organization, which helps children locally and throughout the state.

There will be a minimum of 25 adults from the Kiwanis Club and the University of Hawaii at Hilo Circle K Club to do the four-hour project.

“Thanks to the Weinberg Foundation, community organizations can support other nonprofit organizations with financial assistance,” said spokeswoman Audrey Kagawa.
