The state Department of Transportation has announced the following roadwork for the week of Dec. 3-7:

The state Department of Transportation has announced the following roadwork for the week of Dec. 3-7:

l Volcano Highway (Highway 11), lane shifts in the northbound direction in the vicinity of the Keaau Bypass Road intersection between East Palai Street and Keaau-Pahoa Road, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily, for roadway reconstruction.

l Volcano Highway (Highway 11), alternating single-lane closures in both directions in the vicinity of Kulani Road between South Pszyk Road and Kukui Camp Road, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, for roadway striping and traffic signal installation.

l Hawaii Belt Road (Highway 19), alternating lane closures in both directions between Kahawai Road and Hauola Road, in the vicinity of Kalopa, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, for guardrail installation.

l Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250), alternating single-lane closures in both directions in the vicinity of Waiaka Junction between milepost markers 2.5 and 6.4, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, for guardrail repair and pavement marking.

l Akoni Pule Highway (Highway 270), alternating single-lane closures in both directions between Koko Iki Road and Ala Kahua Drive, in the vicinity of Mahukona, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, for roadway resurfacing.

l Mamalahoa Highway (Highway 190), alternating single-lane closures in both directions between Hina Lani Street/North Kona Belt Road and Old Kona Village Road, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, for pavement resurfacing.

Lane closures may change at any time without further notice and all roadwork is weather permitting.
