Mitsue “Mitzi” Yamauchi Asato, 100, of Kamuela died Nov. 15 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Lahaina, Maui, she was a waitress, cook and baker at Morikawa Restaurant and was a member of the Holy Innocents Episcopal Church and the Na Kupuna Serenaders and Dancers.Visitation from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, 561 Front St., Lahaina; memorial service at 11 a.m. Urn burial at 1 p.m. at the Holy Innocents Cemetery. William “Bill” Christian Degele, 76, of Captain Cook died Dec. 3 at Kona Community Hospital in Kealakekua. Born in Los Angeles, he was a U.S. Army veteran and civil operations manager of Keauhou Kona Construction Co. and was an avid cyclist and motorcyclist. Celebration of life will be held in January. Andrew “Andy” Delacruz Filoteo Jr., 56, of Hilo died Dec. 1 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was an auto mechanic for U Broke’um, I Fix’um Repair Shop and R&R Machinery, a baseball coach for the Hilo Junior Little League, and a football coach for Panaewa Pop Warner Football and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m. Thursday at the Church on a Sure Foundation, inside Prince Kuhio Plaza in Hilo; memorial service at 6 p.m. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Isaac Reyes, 33, Kamuela died Nov. 30 at Tripler Army Medical Center on Oahu. Born in Puerto Rico, he was a commercial pilot for Mokulele Airlines and a U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
